We got another couple feet of snow the last few days. We are trying to groom. The snow yesterday was to wet. All we could do was till. At least we packed it down. Will be great riding this weekend. The poker run date is 2-6-16. The details are on the snowdrifters web page. JWG

Anyone who is thinking of riding , come on up. The trails are great. Solid base with powder on top. Off roaming is still not recommend!to many holes, ditches and what ever still not covered. Most all trails are groomed and free of downed tree, thanks to all the volunteers who have been working hard to figure out the new groomer and cut the trails clear. Give them a pat on the back. JWG

We started grooming today. The county put up the road closed sign at the summit and big creek. Not real deep but enough to start.  Anywhere from 1-3 feet in most places. There are a couple trees down on the way to Oroville which I will clear out. Real nice riding. JWG

We have permission to start grooming if we get enough snow in this storm. The road is closed at the summit. We are still waiting for our new groomer to arrive. It’s sitting in Sparks waiting for paperwork to come in from the state to come through. JWG

The traffic is driving to the tee. The county will issue a permit, at no cost, to drive past the road closed sign. To get the permit go to their office in East Quincy. There is still a lot of snow on the road up Haskins Valley. The road towards the dam will open up to the kiosk soon. JWG

Sorry we are late posting. As of now there is some pavement snowing coming in to the lake. Once you get to the firehouse the roads are covered but it is thin and melting. The riding off the roads is not recommend. We need a good storm before we can start grooming again. I will keep this site up to date so check back in. JWG

Looks like our season is over before it started. The county has plowed to the firehouse and plan on keeping it open if possible. So unless we get a very large and cold storm the season is over. JWG

At least it is snowing today. Road closed at the summit, hoping for a good dumping. Not enough to ride on yet but we are still hopeful for a good ride soon. Will keep this site updated this week JWG

Looks like the season is almost over. Rained all day today. Yesterday I went to the summit to check snow conditions. You could have drove in almost a hundred yards. A lot of pavement snowing the first mile, the rest about a foot deep. A little deeper by the groomer shed then the usual pavement past Bucks Creek bridge. I am going to check the road tomorrow and let know. The cutoff road probably will be your best bet. JWG

Been very cold last week. the snow is very dry and the trails are doing fine. Most of the trails are open and groomed except for the forebay loop. It is passable but not groomed or cleared. We are trying to get a work party to attack it but Brain Wood is busy in the valley, atleast thats what he is claiming.  I guess I wore him out last time. It took us 25 hours then just to get one pass and the trees removed.  Come on up you will love the snow JWG
